| I have over 10 years experience with dog grooming as well as a life long passion for animals. I trained at Nash Academy of Animal Arts in Lexington, KY. I continue my education and skills through training in animal CPR as well as regular attendance at trade shows and seminars across the country. |
| I was born with a passion for all living creatures. I have been a vegetarian for more than 13 years. I do not kill any living being except for fleas and ticks. One of my Mom's favorite stories to tell about me is how long it would take us to walk to the store right around the corner. I would not step on ants or cracks in the concrete, so it was quite a long trip. As I was growing up, we always had a dog. My favorite dog was Sasi. He was a miniature white poodle. I dressed him up and put him in the stroller. I would feed him with a baby bottle. He would wait for me by the door everyday. Through the years, I brought a variety of stray and adopted animals home; dogs, cats, fish, birds, mice, wild rabbits and even a tail-less gerbil. Some, I was allowed to keep, and others, not. |
| I was involved with a dachshund rescue for quite a few years. I fostered many needy, abandoned or abused dachshunds and adopted quite a few. I had as many as eleven dogs living with me at one time. I have raised cockatiels; parakeets, and a hand-fed African Grey. I had numerous aquariums including fresh and salt water. I take care of feral cats in the neighborhood by spaying, neutering, vaccinating and feeding. |
| I
grew up and still live on the West Side of Cincinnati. I share a home
with the love of my life, Tom, and my son, David. I also have a daughter,
Sarah. Tom and my children have the same passion for the animals. Sarah
has a chow shepherd mix named Sasha and David has raised gerbils, rats,
guinea pigs, and frogs. We co-parent a dachshund named Annabelle. She
lives with us when we are not taking care of our grand-dog, Sasha. I love
to stay busy. When not taking care of animals, I also enjoy spending time
with family and friends, scrapbooking, card making, baking, and traveling. |
